• Keep your face clean. Follow your daily skincare(cleansing,toning,moisturizing) routine.Use a mild cleanser to cleanse your face in the morning and evening. Wash your face with warm water rather than hot or cold water. Use only clean and dry towels.

• Do not touch or squeeze your pimples as it could leave dark sports or scars on the skin.

• Eat more vegetables, proteins and iron rich food. This helps to give you glowing and acne free skin.

• Remove your make-up before going to bed. Sleeping with your make-up on can lead to pimples and break outs. Clean your make-up tools.

• Wash your hair thrice a week. Oily hair can give you pimples on your face. Use a good shampoo and conditioner. Always keep your hair away from your face.

• Many acne products dry the skin. Apply moisturizer to keep your nourished and hydrated. Choose a moisturizer according to your skin type. See for ''non-comedogenic" in the label this doesn't cause pimples.

Home Remedies To Get Acne-Free Skin:

ICE:

Take an ice cube and keep it  on the affected area. Ice soothes the skin and reduces swelling and redness. It removes excess oil and dirt and helps to reduce pimples.

BAKING SODA:

Baking soda is an amphoteric compound i.e., it acts as both acid and base. It removes excess oil from skin and maintains the pH balance to give the pimple free skin. Mix 2 tbsp of baking soda with half a lemon. Apply this mixture on the affected area and leave it for 10 mins. Then gently massage with it for 5 mins and rinse with lukewarm water.

TOOTHPASTE:

Toothpaste soothes the skin and reduces the swelling. It drys out the acne. Choose a white colored toothpaste for the acne treatment. Don't choose the gel or red, blue colored or teeth whitening toothpaste. Apply tooth paste on the affected area and leave it for overnight. In the next morning you can see your pimples are much less visible.

NEEM:

Neem is rich in anti-fungal, anti-bacterial properties. It works as a natural astringent that cools down skin and prevents to cause pimples. Grind some neem leaves in to a paste and add a pinch of turmeric, 2 tbsp milk to it. Apply this mixture on the affected area and keep it for 15-20 mins. Rinse well with warm water.

CINNAMON AND HONEY:

Cinnamon has anti-microbial properties that helps to fight acne. Honey is a natural antiseptic which helps to give pimple free skin by fighting against acne. Grind 2-3 pieces of cinnamon into a fine powder and add 1 tbsp of honey to it. Apply it on the affected area and rinse well after 15 mins.

POTATO JUICE:

Potato is a natural bleaching agent that absorbs the excess oil and removes dirt. It lightens the dark spots and reduces pimples when used daily. Grate half a potato and apply the potato juice on your face. Leave it for about 15 mins and rinse with warm water.

FULLER'S EARTH( MULTANI MITTI):

Fuller's earth removes excess oil from pores without over-drying the skin. It unclogs the pores and lightens the skin's complexion.. Mix required amount of fullers earth with rose water to make a paste. Apply it all over your face and neck. Keep it till it gets dried and wash off with warm water.

ALOE VERA:

Aloevera has anti-bacteria, anti-fungal, anti-septic, astringent properties that fights against acne by removing dirt and oil from the skin. Aloevera keeps the skin moisturized and repairs the damaged skin. Apply fresh aloevera juice on the affected and leave it for about 15 mins. Wash it off with lukewarm water.

LEMON JUICE:

Lemon is a natural bleaching agent and has acidic properties. It removes dirt and oil that helps to unclog the pores. Squeeze half a lemon and mix 1-2 tbsp of honey to it. Apply it on face and neck for 20 mins. Lemon juice lightens dark spots caused by pimples and improves skin's complexion.

ORANGE PEEL POWDER:

Oranges are rich in vitamin-c and it is acidic in nature. Orange peel powder helps to remove acne.

Grind some dried orange peels into a fine powder. Mix it with 1 tbsp milk and 1/2 tbsp honey to it. Apply this mixture on your face and let it settle for 15 mins. Rinse well.

TEA TREE OIL:

Tea tree oil kills the bacteria that cause acne. It acts an antiseptic that removes oil and unclogs the pores. Apply a drop of tea tree oil on the affected area and leave it. Do this twice a day for pimple free skin. Undiluted tea tree oil can cause irritation, redness on skin. Dilute it with olive oil orany other essential oil before use.
